It’s Time to Brag!
By Lori Upgren
It sure feels good to get a pat on the back, doesn’t
it? Each year, the Twin Cities Chapter of ARMA sets some time aside to
brag about our members’ achievements. The Twin Cities Chapter’s members
come from a diverse set of companies, each with their own challenges and
initiatives. Please help us celebrate our members’ accomplishments by
nominating a colleague, a coworker, a vendor, or yourself for one (or
more) of our five awards:
The focus of each award is described on the
Chapter
Award Nomination Form (please click here).
It is easy and fast to nominate someone! Simply
download the
Chapter Award Nomination Form, write in your nominations, and
send the completed form to Lori Upgren (lori.upgren@aecom.com).
Nominations are due Tuesday, April 7, 2009 and awards will be presented at
the TC ARMA Member Appreciation and Recognition Event on Tuesday, May 5,
2009.

Ronald McDonald
House Selected
We have selected the
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Twin Cities as our charitable
organization for the 2008 – 2009 program year. The following summary
describes this organization:
Our
Mission: The
mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest, is to keep
families together and strong while facing the stress of serious
pediatric illness or disease. We serve families through our cornerstone
program, the Ronald McDonald House of the Twin Cities—a
home-away-from-home for families whose children are being treated for
life-threatening conditions, as well as through outreach programs that
extend support to families who do not live at the Ronald McDonald House.
A Home-Away-From-Home:
Minneapolis/St. Paul provides
a number of the world’s most advanced medical treatment centers for
pediatric critical care. Families travel to the Twin Cities from across
Minnesota, the United States, and the world for their children to
receive highly specialized care at our area hospitals. The Ronald
McDonald House of the Twin Cities accommodates 48 families on any given
night, providing lodging and a community atmosphere of care, support and
encouragement while reducing the costs of daily living. It is not
uncommon for families to live at the Ronald McDonald House for as long
as a year. Providing a home-away-from-home for families facing critical
pediatric illness is made possible thanks to our dedicated Board of
Directors, staff, over 3,300 diligent volunteers, and through
contributions of over 4,500 donors.
Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper
Midwest, also supports and manages outreach programs that extend support
beyond our doors to the local community.
